Interconnection is the process of formally connecting a site's electrical load to the utility grid at a given capacity, and it typically requires a utility study, agreement, and sometimes grid upgrades. Queues in many markets now run one to several years for new capacity — which is exactly why sites with existing interconnection (retired plants, former smelters, idle industrial facilities) are so valuable: much of that process is already done.

Both — that's the core of the model. We're a two-sided brokerage: property owners with powered sites on one side, AI compute buyers who need capacity on the other, plus a financing partner who funds the buildout. Most of our best outcomes come from actively matching both sides rather than treating either as a passive listing.

My site has environmental or structural issues from its former use — is it disqualified?

Not automatically. Legacy environmental considerations and structural retrofit needs are common in industrial redevelopment and are treated as normal diligence, factored into deal structure, rather than a surprise that kills a deal.
